The PADI TEC 50 course builds on from the PADI TEC 45 course, and introduces you to the first stages of full, technical deep decompression diving. Upon completion of the course you’ll be qualified to make multistop decompression dives, using air, EANx and Oxygen, with up to two gases for accelerated decompression.
The course will introduce you to the equipment used for Technical Diving, the emergency skills and procedures required, and how to plan your multistop decompression dive, along with the correct selection of breathing gases.
The benefit of this course is that now two decompression gases can be carried with you underwater, which allows for a quicker decompression. We still use the gas planning parameters from the TEC 45 course, so this step up should still feel comfortable to you. And with the skills acquired for handling two deco cylinders, you’re now ready to consider enrolling on to the PADI Trimix 65 course.
We offer this as either a four or five-day course. The four-day course presumes that you are a regular TEC 45 diver, familiar with the technical dive equipment and fluent in using desktop decompression software. The five-day course are for those who have completed fewer TEC 45 dives, or for those who would prefer a more relaxed course.
